Overview
SAPPORO HOTEL by GRANBELL is located north of Sapporo Station, within the broader Sapporo Station Area. It works well for travelers who want JR rail, subway connections, New Chitose Airport trains, and the scale of a larger full-service hotel close to the main station.
Rooms
The hotel has 605 rooms in eight types, and every room is at least 24 square meters. Options include queen and twin rooms, an accessible queen room, a terrace twin with bunk beds, junior suites, and suites, giving guests a wider range of choices than many compact business hotels near the station.
Facilities
The 25th floor features a hot-spring spa and sauna with a semi-open-air bath, sauna facilities, and a lounge area. Other facilities include a fitness gym, self check-in kiosks, a currency exchange machine, on-site parking, and a 24-hour FamilyMart on the first floor.
Dining
Breakfast is served buffet-style, with more than 70 Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes using Hokkaido ingredients, including live-kitchen items and seafood bowls. The hotel also offers all-day dining, along with a rooftop restaurant and bar on the 26th floor with views over Sapporo.
Location and transport
JR Sapporo Station North Exit is about seven minutes away on foot. The Namboku and Toho subway lines are also about a seven-minute walk via Exit 16, making Odori, Susukino, and other central subway stops easy to reach.
Airport access
Access to New Chitose Airport is mainly by rail via Sapporo Station. The usual route is to take the JR Rapid Airport train to Sapporo Station, then walk from the north exit to the hotel.
Why stay here
Choose SAPPORO HOTEL by GRANBELL if you want a Sapporo Station base with larger rooms, a high-floor spa, dining, fitness facilities, and nearby airport rail access. It is especially convenient for rail arrivals, New Chitose Airport transfers, and station-area shopping, while guests focused on Susukino nightlife may prefer to stay farther south.
Good to know
Granbell operates several properties in Sapporo, and the hotel cautions guests not to confuse this property with Granbell Hotel Tanuki, Sapporo. Check the hotel name and its north-side Sapporo Station location when comparing rates or directions.
