Overview

JR-East Hotel Mets Niigata connects directly to Niigata Station through the west passage and takes about one minute to reach on foot. Guests can reach the Shinkansen platforms, local trains, airport buses, and CoCoLo shops without crossing a street.

Superior rooms provide more floor space, ranging from 21-square-metre Singles to 32-square-metre Doubles and 31-square-metre Twins. Superior Deluxe Twins measure 34 square metres and accommodate up to three guests.

Selected Superior rooms replace the standard unit bath with a bathroom that separates the tub from the washing space. Every room has a pocket-coil mattress, bathtub, bath salts, and smart television. Streaming services require the guest's own account. A universal twin can be reserved by phone.

Facilities

Uonuma Kamakura serves a Japanese breakfast buffet from 6:30 to 9:30, with Niigata dishes and Uonuma Koshihikari rice. The restaurant also opens for lunch and dinner.

SUZUVEL and TABIBAR serve deli food, local sake, and craft beer elsewhere in the building. CoCoLo Niigata has additional restaurants and cafes inside the station.

Location and transport

The hotel is located in the Niigata Station Area. The fastest Joetsu Shinkansen services reach Tokyo in about 110 minutes. Conventional lines run toward Nagaoka, Shibata, Yoshida, and Kashiwazaki.

Bandai Bridge is about 15 minutes on foot from the Bandai Exit. Local and sightseeing buses continue toward Furumachi, Toki Messe, the port, Minatopia, and Niigata City Aquarium Marinepia Nihonkai.

Airport access

Direct limousine buses take about 25 minutes between Niigata Airport and Niigata Station. They stop at the station rather than the hotel door. After arriving, follow signs through the station to the west connecting passage.

Traffic and winter weather can affect the journey. Check the airport timetable before flying, especially for an early departure.

Why stay here

Choose this hotel for a late arrival, an early Shinkansen, a regional rail trip, or a flight connection through the station bus terminal. The direct passage shortens the route with luggage, and breakfast begins at 6:30.

Furumachi's evening streets and the waterfront are farther away. This hotel is better for station transport and services than for immediate access to those districts.

Good to know

Check-in begins at 15:00, and checkout is by 11:00. Drivers use the NPC24h Niigata Station South Parking Lot, about five minutes from the hotel. Spaces cannot be reserved, and vehicle restrictions apply.

Luggage storage ends at midnight on the checkout day. Follow the hotel signs to the west connecting passage inside the concourse instead of leaving through a main street exit.
