Overview

It's about a two-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station to Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae. With Nara Park roughly three minutes away, guests can arrive by train, leave their bags at reception, and start exploring without first taking a bus or taxi.

Most sightseeing begins on foot. From the Kintetsu Nara Station Area, the park and Kofukuji lie to the east, while Naramachi's shopping streets and historic lanes extend south from the station side.

Rooms

All 143 rooms are non-smoking and have Simmons beds. Double rooms range from 16.2 to 19.8 square meters, while the main Hollywood Twin category measures about 20 square meters and has two beds placed together. These compact layouts favor short stays and light luggage; guests wanting more space should compare the larger twins.

Superior Twin categories measure 28.53 square meters, while Deluxe Twin options reach 31.2 square meters. Some add a tatami area and accommodate a third guest on a sofa bed. These larger categories also separate the bath, toilet, and washroom.

The 27.6-square-meter Universal Double has a step-free floor, a sliding bathroom door, wider spacing around the furniture, and accessible controls. It's the room designed for guests who need barrier-free features.

Facilities

Reception can store luggage before check-in and until later on departure day. A laundromat supports longer stays, while vending machines, an ice maker, and a microwave cover routine needs.

Accessibility support extends beyond the Universal Double. The first floor has an accessible restroom and baby-changing stand, wheelchairs are available to borrow, and assistance dogs are accepted.

Dining

Yamato Komachi occupies the first floor. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:00 as a buffet of more than 60 Japanese and Western dishes, including local vegetables and ingredients associated with Nara's Yamato region.

The restaurant also opens for lunch, afternoon cafe service, and dinner, so guests aren't limited to breakfast in the building. There is no room service, and breakfast must be eaten in the restaurant.

Location and transport

Kintetsu Nara Station is the nearest rail stop, with services toward Osaka-Namba and Kyoto. This side of central Nara is closer to the park, shortening the first walk to the main sights compared with arrival at JR Nara Station farther west.

Nara Park is about three minutes from the hotel and Kofukuji about five. Todaiji is listed at roughly ten minutes on foot, though destinations deeper inside the park require more walking. Naramachi lies south of the station and is also close enough to explore on foot.

Why stay here

The short walk from Kintetsu Nara Station and quick start into the park simplify both overnight visits and longer sightseeing stays. Compact doubles, larger twin rooms, luggage storage, laundry, and a restaurant open throughout the day add flexibility beyond a room used only for sleeping.

Nara Park brings together deer, museums, Kofukuji, Todaiji, and Kasuga Taisha across a large green area. In the other direction, Naramachi's narrow streets offer cafes, small shops, and a slower walk after the major park sights.

Good to know

Drivers need to use off-site parking. The paid affiliated lots are about two to three minutes away, reservations aren't accepted, and private vehicles or taxis cannot pull up directly in front of the hotel. That restriction matters most when arriving with heavy luggage.

All guest rooms are non-smoking. A smoking booth is available on the first floor.
