Overview
Breakfast, afternoon sweets, and evening drinks are part of the guest-only lounge service at Hotel Springs Makuhari Premier. The building is two minutes from Kaihimmakuhari Station and reopened under the Premier name in September 2024 after a substantial renovation and room expansion.
The lounge is the defining extra. Larger room categories, a fitness gym, and a business center also distinguish a Premier stay from the adjacent main building, while both buildings share the wider hotel complex and restaurant facilities.
Rooms
Room choices begin with doubles and twins measuring roughly 24 to 26 square meters. Larger twin, double, and suite layouts extend through the 30- to 50-square-meter range, with sofa beds in selected categories for a third or fourth guest.
The 76.7-square-meter Executive Suite adds a separate living area, kitchen, and washing machine. A 53-square-meter Japanese Suite accommodates up to six guests with two beds and four futons. These are the clearest options for longer stays or groups needing more space than a standard twin provides.
Room details vary more than the shared Premier label might suggest. Some categories have glass-walled bathrooms, while one has a view bath facing the park and Makuhari Bay Park side. Only selected rooms accommodate more than two guests. All rooms are non-smoking, so compare the exact layout, occupancy, and bathroom design before booking.
Facilities
Premier guests can use a first-floor business center from early morning until late evening and a fitness gym that remains open around the clock. The work area has Wi-Fi, power outlets, and a monitor for video calls or small meetings.
The gym provides cardio and strength equipment but has no lockers, changing room, or shower. Guests under 16 can't use it. The Premier building also has no laundry service; two coin-operated machines are available in the main building instead.
Dining
The Premier Lounge serves an included breakfast buffet in the morning, sweets during afternoon tea, and alcoholic drinks during aperitif and evening periods. It isn't an all-day buffet, so the published time slots matter if lounge service is central to your booking decision.
For full meals, the adjoining main building has Carmel for buffet and cafe service and Suiran for Chinese cooking. Premier guests therefore have more choice than the lounge alone provides, although the restaurants and Premier rooms aren't all in the same building.
Location and transport
Kaihimmakuhari Station is about two minutes away on foot. Direct JR Keiyo Line trains run toward Maihama and Tokyo, with published estimates of roughly 17 to 20 minutes for Maihama and 35 to 40 minutes for Tokyo. Faster and local services stop differently, so check the train before boarding.
Makuhari Messe is walkable, but published estimates range from about seven to fifteen minutes. The relevant hall, entrance, and route determine which figure is useful. Mitsui Outlet Park Makuhari is about three minutes from the hotel, while Mihama-en Japanese Garden takes roughly seven minutes and ZOZO Marine Stadium around eighteen.
Airport access
Paid limousine buses for Haneda and Narita airports call at the entrance of the main building. This isn't a private hotel shuttle, and seats are handled in boarding order rather than by advance reservation.
The stop is close to Premier, but it isn't at the Premier lobby door. Check the current timetable, fare, airport terminal order, and hotel call before relying on the bus for a flight.
Why stay here
The two-minute station walk and guest-only lounge simplify an event stay, especially when breakfast and a place for evening drinks are useful between scheduled commitments. The tradeoff is clear: Makuhari Messe takes longer to reach than the station, and some support facilities are in the adjacent main building.
Around the Kaihimmakuhari Station Area, outlet shopping is close enough to fill a short gap in the day. Makuhari Seaside Park and Mihama-en offer a quieter alternative, while ZOZO Marine Stadium hosts baseball, concerts, and other large events on the bayfront side of the district.

Check-in begins at 2:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Hotel Springs Makuhari has two accommodation buildings, so confirm that your reservation says Premier if the lounge, gym, and Premier room categories are the reason for booking.
Lounge presentations, restaurant hours, and airport bus schedules can change. Recheck them before an event day or flight rather than assuming every service runs continuously.
