Overview
Just outside Unimall U8, Hotel Resol Nagoya is four minutes from Nagoya Station's Sakura-dori Exit. The underground approach keeps JR, Shinkansen, and subway connections close, while Meitetsu and Kintetsu use separate gates elsewhere in the rail complex.
The rooms are compact, but guests have another place to spend time: a 24-hour living lobby with more than 200 books, free coffee, and a workspace with power and Wi-Fi. That balance is the draw.
Rooms
All 101 rooms are non-smoking, with wooden floors and a shoes-off layout. Moderate Doubles measure 14 square meters and have a 140-centimeter bed, while Deluxe Doubles provide 16 square meters and a 160-centimeter queen bed.
Twin rooms merit a closer look. The 14-square-meter Economy Twin has two narrow 80-centimeter beds, while the 17.5-square-meter Standard Twin provides two 110-centimeter beds and a little more floor space. If you're traveling with two large suitcases, the larger twin is the more forgiving layout.
Facilities
The living lobby functions as a second room, with sofas, more than 200 books, and jazz playing in the background. Free coffee and a work area with power and Wi-Fi provide a comfortable spot to plan the day or finish a task outside your room.
Coin laundry, an ice machine, vending, and a microwave cover the basics for a short city stay. The front desk can hold luggage before check-in or after check-out, and a smoking booth is available in the second-floor lobby.
Location and transport
The JR Sakura-dori Exit is about four minutes away, and the hotel stands immediately outside Unimall's U8 exit. This route is especially helpful in wet weather, although the hotel isn't directly connected to the station building.
Each part of Nagoya Station serves a different journey. JR handles the Tokaido Shinkansen and regional trains, Meitetsu runs airport services to Centrair, Kintetsu serves routes toward Mie, and the subway is usually the simplest option for Fushimi and Sakae. Allow time to find the correct operator when you're carrying luggage.
Airport access
Meitetsu Nagoya is about six minutes from the hotel on foot. Direct Mu-Sky trains reach Central Japan International Airport in as little as 28 minutes, while regular express services take about 35 minutes.
Mu-Sky requires both a regular fare ticket and a first-class car ticket. The train is direct, but the journey still begins with a walk through the station district rather than hotel-door service.
Why stay here
The short walk from the Sakura-dori side takes pressure off an early Shinkansen, a late arrival, or a one-night stopover. Compact rooms are the tradeoff, but the 24-hour living lobby gives you somewhere comfortable to read, work, or have coffee outside your room.
The surrounding Nagoya Station Area adds department stores, underground shopping, and restaurants around JR Gate Tower, Takashimaya, and KITTE Nagoya. Yanagibashi Central Market provides another dining option in the wider district, particularly earlier in the day.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. The hotel is close to Nagoya Station but isn't directly connected to it; Unimall U8 brings you almost to the entrance before a short outdoor section.
Parking is in the affiliated Unimall garage rather than at the hotel. The garage is locked between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, and the overnight arrangement doesn't allow free entry and exit during the stay.
