Overview
Osaka Castle Park fills the outlook from one side of Hotel New Otani Osaka. Facing the park in the Osaka Castle Area, the hotel is a few minutes from both Osakajokoen Station and Osaka Business Park Station.
Having two nearby stations gives guests a choice between the JR Osaka Loop Line and Osaka Metro. The location is particularly convenient for events at Osaka-jo Hall, park-centered sightseeing, and stays where a castle view matters. It also feels calmer and more spread out than Umeda or Namba.
Rooms
Superior twin and double rooms measure 30 square meters, with either Osaka Castle or city views depending on the category. Higher-floor Deluxe Twin rooms are the same size but guarantee the castle outlook. The view is category-specific. If it's central to your plans, check the room name rather than assuming every room faces the park.
Larger layouts give groups several options. The 40-square-meter Superior Quadruple accommodates up to four guests with a castle view, while the 90-square-meter Family Studio Deluxe sleeps up to seven. That universal-design family layout combines tatami-inspired details and shoji screens with cypress baths. Two Japanese suites are also available in limited numbers.
The suite range adds more separation and storage. A 60-square-meter Luxury Junior Suite has castle views, distinct living and sleeping areas, two washbasins, and a larger closet, which can make a longer stay easier to manage.
Facilities
The fourth-floor Fitness Club has gym and aerobic equipment, but admission isn't included as a standard free amenity for most guests. It is charged per visit, and users must be at least 18 years old.
An outdoor day and night pool operates only on announced summer dates. Most staying guests pay admission, while the night pool is restricted to adults and requires advance reservations. Don't count on pool access outside summer.
Family support extends beyond the larger rooms. Pigeon Kids' Park on the sixth floor provides reservation-only day care, along with nursing and diaper-changing rooms. The Bell Desk can store luggage before check-in and after check-out, while extensive meeting space and a large paid parking facility support events and guests arriving by car.
Dining
SATSUKI serves breakfast and continues as the hotel's all-day dining room. Its buffet runs from 7:00 to 10:00 and features more than 100 Japanese and Western selections, including vegetarian choices. Lunch, dinner, and children's meals are also available.
The upper floors bring more formal choices. French restaurant SAKURA, Teppan Grill Keyaki, and the Sky Lounge occupy the 18th floor, with the lounge looking toward Osaka Castle. Chinese and Japanese restaurants, sushi, a main bar, pastries, and room service broaden the selection, so every meal doesn't require a trip outside the hotel.
Location and transport
Both nearby stations are about three minutes away on foot. Osakajokoen Station serves the JR Osaka Loop Line and provides a direct ride to Osaka Station. Osaka Business Park Station is on the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, with subway services toward Kyobashi, Shinsaibashi, and Taisho.
Travel from Shin-Osaka takes about 25 minutes, including a transfer at Osaka Station to the Loop Line. Namba and the southern entertainment districts are less direct from this side of the city and generally require a subway connection or taxi.
Airport access
A direct airport limousine bus connects Kansai International Airport with the hotel in about 80 minutes. Advance reservations aren't accepted, so check the current timetable and boarding arrangements before travel.
Reserved taxi transfers provide another option. Allow about 60 minutes between Kansai Airport and the hotel, or about 35 minutes from Osaka International Airport at Itami. Both estimates remain subject to traffic.
Why stay here
An Osaka-jo Hall concert, a castle-view room, or a morning in the park is easier to plan from the park's northeast side. Nearby JR and subway stations cover different routes, larger rooms accommodate groups, and the broad dining selection supports evenings spent at the hotel. The tradeoff is less immediate access to the dense shopping and nightlife of Namba or Umeda.
Osaka Castle Park extends across 105.6 hectares. Beyond the castle tower, it contains Nishinomaru Garden, seasonal flower areas, and major event venues, supporting anything from a short walk to a longer sightseeing day or concert visit.
Good to know
Castle views belong to specific room categories. Confirm the stated view when booking, particularly if it's the main reason you're considering the hotel.
The route from Osakajokoen Station includes stairs. If you're avoiding steps or arriving with heavy luggage, check the approach from Osaka Business Park Station instead. The hotel's northeast-side location is close to Osaka-jo Hall, but not to every castle entrance.
