Overview
Nara's two central stations are both within walking distance of HOTEL LiVEMAX Nara Ekimae. Kintetsu Nara Station is five minutes away from Exit 7-N, while JR Nara Station is an eight-minute walk from its East Exit.
The hotel has 34 rooms, a public bath, and coin laundry, but no restaurant or parking. Thirty-two rooms measure 11 square meters; only the two Triple rooms step up to 25 square meters.
Rooms
Thirty Twin rooms measure 11 square meters and accommodate up to two guests. Two Single rooms provide the same floor area for one guest, while the two Triple rooms have 25 square meters and three separate beds.
There isn't much middle ground. Guests choose between compact Single and Twin categories or the considerably larger Triple. All three categories have non-smoking options, and guest rooms include microwaves and Wi-Fi.
Facilities
The public bath opens in the afternoon and evening, then again in the morning. It gives guests another place to soak outside their room.
Coin laundry helps on longer trips. Drinks vending machines are available in the building, and the front desk operates around the clock.
Location and transport
The hotel is in Kintetsu Nara Station Area, west of Kintetsu Nara and along the route toward JR Nara. Kintetsu is the shorter walk for the park side of central Nara.
From Kintetsu Nara, direct services run to Osaka-Namba and Kyoto. JR Nara offers another route to both cities and also serves the direct airport buses.
Airport access
Direct limousine buses to Kansai International Airport and Osaka Itami Airport depart from the JR Nara Station East Exit, about eight minutes from the hotel. This is scheduled service from the station, not a hotel-door shuttle.
Airport buses may require reservations and don't run continuously. Check the current Nara Kotsu timetable before matching a departure with your flight.
Why stay here
Both rail approaches are within eight minutes on foot, and the public bath gives guests a place to unwind after a day out. Most rooms, however, are 11 square meters, and there is no restaurant or parking.
From Kintetsu Nara, Higashimuki's covered arcade leads south toward Naramachi's merchant houses, cafes, and Gangoji Temple. East of the station, Nara Park changes the pace with free-roaming deer and temple paths.
Good to know
The Twin category accommodates two people in 11 square meters, so it may feel tight with several large bags. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast and has no parking.
