Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Hotel Green Tower Makuhari is three minutes from Kaihimmakuhari Station, between station-side shopping and the Makuhari Messe complex. Mitsui Outlet Park Makuhari is about two minutes away, while the nearest edge of the convention grounds is only a few minutes from the hotel.

Room choice is unusually broad. Alongside compact singles and doubles, the 205-room hotel has twin layouts for groups, family rooms, one Japanese room, and suites. Fifteen rooms on the 17th and 18th floors reopened as a Premium Floor in February 2026, while renovations elsewhere are continuing in stages.

Rooms

Standard singles start at 17 square meters, with most double and compact twin categories measuring 17 to 19 square meters. Standard and superior twins are 25 square meters, and selected twin layouts can accommodate three or four guests with extra or pull-out beds.

Larger options include 38-square-meter deluxe twins, 50-square-meter Japanese and suite rooms, and a 100-square-meter Royal Suite. The Japanese room accommodates up to five guests on futons. Room age, finishes, and bed setups vary, so compare the exact category rather than assuming the Premium Floor renewal applies throughout the building.

Facilities

This is a conventional full-service city hotel, with meeting and banquet rooms alongside a few tenant services. A small souvenir shop and paid relaxation and beauty services operate on site, although their hours and closing days vary.

Paid parking is divided among outdoor, underground, and multistory areas. Vehicle limits differ by section, with published maximum heights of 2.1 meters underground and 1.5 meters in the mechanical garage. Contact the hotel in advance if your vehicle falls outside the stated dimensions.

Dining

La Foret provides the main buffet service, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast normally combines Japanese and Western dishes, breads, fruit, and desserts, though the hotel may switch to a plated Western breakfast when reservations are lower.

Midori serves Japanese food centered on ingredients from Chiba, with some Chinese choices at dinner. The lobby lounge covers afternoon tea, coffee, desserts, and light meals. Together, these venues give event guests several in-house options without the wider restaurant range of a large resort.

Location and transport

The south side of Kaihimmakuhari Station is about three minutes away on foot. JR Keiyo Line trains run directly toward Maihama and Tokyo, with official estimates of roughly 20 minutes to Maihama and 35 minutes to Tokyo on faster services. Stopping patterns matter, so check the train before boarding.

Makuhari Messe is close, but the most convenient entrance depends on the hall. The nearest edge of the complex is only a short walk away, while reaching a particular venue can take around eight minutes. Mitsui Outlet Park is along the route to the station, and Mihama-en Japanese Garden is about five minutes from the hotel.

Airport access

Paid limousine coaches connect Hotel Green Tower Makuhari with Haneda and Narita airports on selected schedules. The hotel gives approximate journey times of 60 minutes from Haneda and 40 minutes from Narita, although traffic can lengthen either trip.

Not every airport coach calls at every Makuhari hotel. Some departures use Kaihimmakuhari Station or Makuhari Messe instead, so check the current stop list, airport boarding point, and timetable before relying on hotel-door service.

Why stay here

The three-minute station walk, nearby convention halls, flexible room types, and several places to eat under one roof simplify an event stay. Recently renewed Premium Floor rooms provide a more current option, but the staged renovation means exact room selection matters more than it would in a uniformly updated hotel.

Between scheduled commitments, Mitsui Outlet Park is the quickest shopping stop. Makuhari Seaside Park adds broad lawns and Mihama-en's Japanese garden, while ZOZO Marine Stadium hosts baseball and other large events on the bayfront side of the district.

Good to know

Standard check-in begins at 3:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Smoking status, finishes, and occupancy vary by room category, so confirm all three when booking.

Airport coaches and walks within Makuhari Messe both require a final detail check. The hotel may appear close to the complex on a map, but the relevant hall, entrance, and coach stop determine the actual route.
