Overview

Accessible rooms measure 34 to 37 square meters, while suites range from 69 to 137 square meters. Families and groups therefore have more workable choices than the compact entry rooms alone might suggest. Every room includes free Wi-Fi and wired internet.
Facilities
Morning yoga is free for guests. The Granvia Resort Club has a heated 20-meter indoor pool, two types of sauna, and a jacuzzi, though access costs 1,200 yen. Swimsuits and goggles can be borrowed at no charge.
A bell desk assists with luggage, and the business room has a computer and printer. An on-site 7-Eleven/Heart-In is handy for drinks, snacks, and travel essentials before an early train.
Dining
Several restaurants and bars cover French, Japanese, Chinese, and teppanyaki dining. That makes an evening meal at the hotel a genuine option rather than a fallback after a long travel day.
Breakfast is served at Dining & Bar Applause on the 19th floor. Its buffet combines Japanese and Western dishes with a select menu, breads, salads, fruit, and ingredients from Okayama.
Location and transport
The direct station link puts Shinkansen platforms and local JR services close at hand. Kurashiki is an easy rail trip, while the Marine Liner continues toward Takamatsu and Shikoku. The location also simplifies longer journeys that require a change of trains in Okayama.
Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden are east of the station rather than immediately outside the hotel. They can be reached by tram, bus, taxi, or a longer walk, so staying here favors transport convenience over having the city's main historic sights at the doorstep.
Airport access
Buses to Okayama Momotaro Airport depart from Okayama Station West Exit, close to the hotel, and the ride takes about 30 minutes. It isn't a hotel-door shuttle, but the station connection keeps the transfer straightforward.
Why stay here
Late Shinkansen arrivals, early departures, and rail day trips all benefit from the direct station link. Families also have an unusually broad choice of room sizes, while the restaurants mean there's no need to head out again after check-in.
For a visit centered on Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden, staying farther east may put the sights closer. Hotel Granvia Okayama is more compelling when rail convenience leads the decision, especially if Okayama is one stop in a wider Chugoku or Shikoku itinerary.
Good to know
Check the room size as well as the bed type. The 17-square-meter entry rooms feel very different from the larger twins and family rooms. Pool, sauna, and jacuzzi access is charged separately through the Granvia Resort Club.
