Location and transport
The four-minute walk to Takayama Station also keeps the neighboring Nohi Bus Center close. Limited Express Hida trains run toward Nagoya and Toyama, while highway buses serve Shirakawa-go and the Okuhida hot-spring area. That combination helps when a Takayama stay includes a reserved bus or a day trip beyond the rail line.
The historic center lies east of the station and remains walkable from the hotel. Takayama Jinya, the old merchant streets, and the morning markets can fit into a normal day on foot, so staying near the station doesn't mean giving up convenient sightseeing.
Airport access
From Chubu Centrair International Airport, allow roughly four hours to reach Takayama. The straightforward rail route combines a Meitetsu airport train to Nagoya with the Limited Express Hida; another option is an airport bus followed by a highway bus through Nagoya. There is no hotel-door airport shuttle, and the long final connection makes a late arrival risky.
