Overview
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae is about one minute from Okayama Station's Korakuen Exit, with a direct connection to the station's underground passage. That covered route is especially helpful on rainy arrival days, during Shinkansen transfers, or when traveling with luggage.
The hotel has 216 rooms, ranging from doubles with work-friendly desks to larger twin rooms and a Junior Suite. Breakfast includes Okayama specialties, and business travelers or longer-stay guests have access to a meeting room, luggage storage, courier service, and 24-hour laundry.
Rooms
Moderate doubles measure 18 to 21.2 square meters, while Standard doubles range from 19.9 to 23.9 square meters. Both categories have 154-centimeter-wide beds and desks suited to laptop work, but neither can accommodate an extra bed or baby crib.
Superior doubles offer 24.9 to 29.1 square meters, and twin rooms range from 27.1 to 29.6 square meters. Premium doubles are larger at 32.5 to 36.7 square meters and include separate bathrooms and toilets. The 54.1-square-meter Junior Suite provides the most space, with twin beds and room for an extra bed.
Facilities
A 24-hour coin laundry with three machines is on the seventh floor. Guest floors also have vending machines, ice machines, and microwaves, and the hotel can store luggage or arrange domestic courier service.
The meeting room includes internet access and standard presentation equipment for interviews, training, and small business sessions. Self-service machines handle payment and eligible check-ins, and room keys control elevator access to guest floors.
Dining
Breakfast is served as a Japanese and Western buffet at Asage Okayama Ekimae on the fifth floor. Guests can arrange small dishes in a nine-section wooden box, with regional items such as seared Spanish mackerel, ebimeshi shrimp rice, stewed beef tendon, and kibidango.
Breakfast begins later on weekends and public holidays than on weekdays. It is the only meal service listed at the hotel, but the surrounding station area has plenty of nearby restaurants, shops, and east-exit streetside options.
Location and transport
The hotel is in the Okayama Station Area at the start of Momotaro Boulevard. Okayama-Ekimae tram stop is also about one minute away, giving guests an easy route toward central Okayama, Okayama Castle, and Korakuen Garden.
Okayama Station serves the Sanyo Shinkansen, local JR trains to Kurashiki, the Marine Liner to Takamatsu, and Limited Express Yakumo trains toward Matsue and Izumo. The underground connection gives this hotel an advantage over nearby stays that require a fully outdoor walk from the station.
Airport access
Airport limousine buses run between Okayama Momotaro Airport and Okayama Station's West Exit in about 30 minutes. The hotel is on the east side of the station, so passengers arriving by airport bus need to pass through the station after getting off. There is no hotel-door shuttle.
Why stay here
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae works well for travelers who want to stay as close to the station as possible without being limited to compact rooms. The covered underground access is a clear plus, while the wider room range and straightforward facilities make it a good fit for rail itineraries, business trips, and longer stays.
The east-exit location also places guests at the start of Momotaro Boulevard and near tram service toward Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden. It works well for combining rail day trips with time in central Okayama.
Good to know
Partner parking is covered by overnight service tickets only during set hours. Extra charges apply outside those hours or if you take the car out during the covered period, so drivers planning multiple outings should check the terms before arrival.
The front entrance is locked from midnight to 6:00 AM. Checked-in guests can enter with their room key, while late arrivals need to use the intercom.
