Airport access uses Kyoto Station routes rather than a hotel-door shuttle. From Itami Airport, the hotel lists airport limousine access to the Hachijo Exit bus stop at Kyoto Station, followed by a walk to the hotel. Good to know
The underground connection is useful in bad weather, but the underpass entrance is closed from 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Late arrivals should be ready to use the street-level route. The hotel makes the most sense for travelers who value Kyoto Station access, laundry, breakfast, and airport or rail connections over a temple-side or nightlife-focused location.
