Overview
Exit 2 of Nagoya Sakae Station is about one minute from Comfort Inn Nagoya Sakae. Department stores, offices, and evening dining are close by in the Nagoya-Sakae district, while two subway lines handle trips around the city.
The hotel has 240 non-smoking rooms and a simple, self-service setup. Breakfast is the unusual part. There is no dining room, so guests collect a pre-booked Nagoya-style meal at reception and eat it in their room.
Rooms
Most rooms are compact. The 119 Single Standard rooms and 108 Queen Compact rooms each measure 13 square meters. Singles have one 120-centimeter bed, while queens have one 160-centimeter bed for up to two guests.
Groups need to choose their room category carefully. Twelve 28-square-meter Twin Standard rooms accommodate up to three adults with an added sofa bed. The single 32-square-meter universal room has twin beds and a barrier-free layout.
Facilities
Coin laundry, front-desk luggage storage, and online check-in cover the main travel basics. Free coffee and lemon water are available after check-in, and guests can pick them up on the way to their room.
Dining
Breakfast can be collected between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM. The menu centers on a Nagoya ebi-fry sandwich and handmade tenmusu with a large shrimp, with coffee, soup, and smoothies available from the second-floor reception.
The meal must be included in an advance booking and can't be purchased at the front desk that morning. With no breakfast room, guests eat in their room or another permitted space. Children sharing an existing bed don't receive a separate breakfast.
Location and transport
Sakae Station Exit 2 is about one minute away. The station serves the Higashiyama and Meijo subway lines, and the Higashiyama Line reaches the city's main Shinkansen hub in roughly four minutes.
Long-distance rail connections remain manageable, but the hotel isn't beside the Shinkansen platforms. Allow time for the subway ride and the change between operators, especially with luggage or an early train to catch.
Airport access
A Centrair limousine bus reaches Sakae Bus Terminal in about 55 minutes, followed by a five-minute walk to the hotel. This avoids a rail transfer, although traffic can affect the journey.
The rail alternative combines a Meitetsu train to the Nagoya side with the subway to Sakae. Allow about 28 minutes for the airport train and five minutes for the subway, plus transfer and walking time. Neither option stops at the hotel door.
Why stay here
The one-minute walk from Sakae Station keeps shopping, meetings, and evenings in the district easy to manage. Small groups can book the 28-square-meter twins instead of the much smaller standard rooms. The tradeoff is a room-focused stay without a breakfast room or direct airport and Shinkansen service.
North of the hotel, Hisaya-odori Park and Oasis 21 form the district's landmark stretch around Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER. Shopping, cafes, and evening dining spread outward from the Sakae intersection.
Good to know
Standard check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Children aged 12 and under stay free when sharing a bed with a parent or grandparent, but the breakfast plan doesn't provide them with a separate meal.
Drivers are directed to two affiliated paid car parks. Present the parking ticket at reception for the applicable service ticket, and check current vehicle limits and time conditions before arrival.
