Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

With Motomachi Station three minutes away on foot and Sannomiya six, CANDEO HOTELS Kobe Tor Road gives guests a choice of two useful rail hubs in central Kobe. Nankinmachi, Motomachi Shopping Street, and the historic buildings of the Former Foreign Settlement are nearby in the Kobe Motomachi / Nankinmachi area.

The rooftop SkySpa is the standout feature. Rooms are compact, but indoor and open-air baths stay available late into the night, and the location supports both sightseeing on foot and local or airport connections through the nearby stations.

Rooms

All rooms are non-smoking and furnished with Simmons beds. Double, queen, and king rooms measure 15 to 16 square metres, while the three twin layouts measure 18 to 19 square metres. The deluxe twin accommodates up to three adults; other categories are intended for one or two guests.

A slightly raised sofa creates a separate place to sit, although the compact dimensions still favor short stays and days spent mostly outside. Couples wanting a wider bed can choose a queen or king room, while friends may prefer the twin layouts.

Facilities

The rooftop SkySpa is open from 15:00 until 11:00 the following morning. Both sides have indoor and open-air baths. The men's side also has a dry sauna and cold-water bath, while the women's side has a mist sauna. The saunas close between 2:00 and 6:00.

Coin laundry is available, and the front desk can store luggage on arrival and departure days. Bring towels from your room when using the baths.

Dining

Breakfast is served in the 13th-floor restaurant from 6:00 to 10:00. Four one-hour sessions operate on a first-come basis, so guests need to choose a time as part of their morning plans.

The buffet combines Japanese and Western dishes with fresh pastries, daily soup, fruit, yogurt, and lacto-ovo vegetarian choices. There is no lunch or dinner service, but Nankinmachi and the streets between Motomachi and Sannomiya offer plenty of nearby alternatives.

Location and transport

Motomachi Station is the shorter walk at about three minutes and serves JR and Hanshin trains. Sannomiya Station is about six minutes away and is the better option for the Port Liner, airport buses, and the wider Sannomiya transport network.

The hotel is close to Tor Road where Motomachi meets Sannomiya. Nankinmachi and Motomachi Shopping Street are to the west, while the Former Foreign Settlement lies south of the main shopping streets. Meriken Park and the waterfront are farther south, but remain within the same central sightseeing area.

Airport access

From Kobe Airport, the Port Liner reaches Sannomiya in about 18 minutes. The hotel is then roughly six minutes away on foot, so the ride into the city is direct but doesn't reach the hotel door.

Limousine buses from Kansai International Airport and Osaka Itami Airport also stop at Kobe Sannomiya. Both journeys end with the walk from Sannomiya rather than a dedicated hotel shuttle.

Why stay here

The choice between a short walk from Motomachi and broader connections at Sannomiya keeps different parts of the trip manageable. Rooftop baths and saunas provide a welcome reason to return early, though standard rooms are compact and drivers must use nearby commercial parking.

There is plenty to explore on foot. Nankinmachi is known for Chinese restaurants and street food, the Former Foreign Settlement brings historic architecture and shops, and the route south continues toward Meriken Park and Kobe's waterfront.

Good to know

The hotel isn't directly connected to either station. Reception and the breakfast restaurant are on the 13th floor, while the SkySpa occupies the rooftop level.

There is no private or hotel-operated parking lot. Bathers with tattoos must use the covers provided by the front desk, and children who still wear diapers cannot use the SkySpa.
