Beside Shinobazu Pond on the park side of Tokyo-Ueno, the hotel has 292 non-smoking rooms. The emphasis is firmly on short walks to major rail services rather than spacious standard rooms or extensive leisure facilities.
Rooms
Most rooms are compact. Single, Double, and Cozy layouts measure 11 square metres and have one 140-centimetre bed. The Cozy room adds a sofa but no extra floor space.
The 22-square-metre Deluxe Twin is considerably larger, with two 122-centimetre beds. If you're arriving with large cases or need separate beds, compare the layouts carefully instead of choosing on price alone.
Facilities
Automatic check-in and express checkout streamline front-desk formalities. A microwave and ice machine cover simple everyday needs, while a currency exchange machine and smart TVs with casting are also available.
Parking is extremely limited. The hotel's only on-site space is reserved for a wheelchair user and cannot be booked, so arriving by rail is more dependable.
Dining
Wine Dining Kamakura House serves a paid Japanese and Western breakfast buffet on the first floor. Breakfast runs from 7:00 to 10:00, with last entry at 9:30.
Location and transport
Keisei Ueno Station's Ikenohata Exit is one minute away on foot. JR Ueno's Shinobazu Exit is three minutes away, providing access to the Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines as well as JR East Shinkansen routes. The Keisei and JR stations have separate entrances, so check the operator when planning your final walk.
The hotel is on the Shinobazu Pond side of Ueno Park. Ameyoko extends south toward Okachimachi, while the park's museums and zoo are to the north.
Airport access
The Skyliner runs directly from Narita Airport to Keisei Ueno, with no train change required. From the Ikenohata Exit, the hotel is one minute away on foot.
Reaching Haneda involves more steps. The hotel's published route uses the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho, followed by a JR train to Ueno and a three-minute walk from the Shinobazu Exit.
Why stay here
The one-minute final walk from direct Narita trains is the clearest reason to stay, especially when you're carrying luggage or working around a fixed airport departure. JR services remain close, but compact standard rooms and almost no parking keep the focus on location.
Beyond arrival and departure days, Ueno Park brings museums, the zoo, and Shinobazu Pond close to the hotel. Ameyoko adds market shopping and casual food to the south, so you can fill a day without crossing Tokyo.

Follow the operator and exit, not just the word Ueno in a route result. The one-minute walk starts at Keisei Ueno's Ikenohata Exit; JR arrivals should use the Shinobazu Exit and allow three minutes.
