Overview

ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama is connected to Okayama Station by a pedestrian bridge, and the platforms are about two minutes away on foot. The hotel is on the station's west side, close to the Shinkansen gates and the buses for Okayama Momotaro Airport.

It offers a fuller range of services than the simpler hotels clustered around the rail hub. The 20-floor hotel has 220 rooms and three restaurants, along with meeting facilities and room service. Paid parking connects directly to the hotel by elevator.

Rooms

Standard rooms measure 18 to 22 square meters and come in single, double, and queen-bed layouts. Premium rooms offer 25 to 28 square meters, with single, twin, or king-bed options. The extra space is worth comparing if two people are sharing a room or if Okayama is more than a one-night stop.

Larger choices include a 66-square-meter Junior Suite and a 90-square-meter Presidential Suite. Some rooms look toward the station tracks and city skyline, while work desks and high-speed Wi-Fi help guests stay productive between rail trips. Accessible and connecting rooms are also available.

Facilities

The hotel provides a 24-hour business center, room service, foreign-currency exchange, and laundry service. Five accessible rooms are listed, and elevators serve all guest floors.

Paid parking is available in the basement of the adjoining complex. The garage has 270 spaces, allows guests to take their car out during their stay, and connects to the hotel by elevator. Vehicle-size limits apply.

Dining

The three dining venues cover casual meals, Japanese cuisine, and teppanyaki. Urbano is on the first floor, while the Japanese dining room, teppanyaki counter, and sky bar are on the 20th floor, where dinner or an evening drink comes with city views.

Breakfast is served as a Japanese and Western buffet on the 20th floor. Notable items include made-to-order rice balls, omelets prepared with Okayama eggs, Kasaoka ramen, and breads and side dishes made with regional ingredients.

Location and transport

ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama is located beside the West Exit in the Okayama Station Area. The covered bridge is especially helpful with luggage or in bad weather, and the neighboring Okayama Convention Center is linked to the same complex.

Okayama Station serves the Sanyo Shinkansen and local JR routes to Kurashiki. It is also the departure point for the Marine Liner to Takamatsu and Limited Express Yakumo trains toward Matsue and Izumo. The hotel therefore works well for travelers using Okayama for more than a single overnight stop.

Airport access

Airport buses run between Okayama Station's West Exit and Okayama Momotaro Airport in about 30 minutes. The hotel does not need a separate airport shuttle, since guests can walk to the bus stop on the same side of the station.

Why stay here

Choose ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama when a short, sheltered walk to the station matters, but you still want several dining options and more room choice than a basic business hotel typically provides. The West Exit location works especially well for airport buses, Shinkansen transfers, and rail day trips.

The tradeoff is sightseeing distance. Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden are east of the station, so reaching them requires a tram, bus, taxi, or a longer walk across central Okayama.
