Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Three minutes from JR Sannomiya's East Exit, this Sotetsu Fresa Inn keeps central Kobe's main transport links close. From here, you can plan local sightseeing, a day trip to Osaka, or an onward journey through Shin-Kobe without staying beside the Shinkansen station.

This is a compact, cashless hotel rather than a full-service option. All 271 rooms are non-smoking, and the focus is on comfortable beds, self-service check-in, breakfast, and everyday facilities for a straightforward city stay.

Rooms

Most single and double rooms measure 11.8 to 12.9 square meters, so they're better for sleeping than spending long stretches indoors. Twin rooms provide more floor space, from 16.6 square meters to 21.1 square meters for the Deluxe Twin. At 22.3 square meters, the universal twin is the largest listed individual room category.

The connecting layout combines a 16.6-square-meter twin with an 11.8-square-meter superior single and accommodates up to three guests. Its internal door gives a small family or group more separation than sharing one compact room. Simmons beds are used throughout.

Facilities

Self-service kiosks handle routine check-in and check-out, while the front desk can store luggage on arrival and departure days. Five washer-dryers are available to guests, with their operating status shown on the room television. A shared microwave is another helpful feature for longer stays.

Accommodation charges must be paid by credit card or an accepted QR-code payment service. Cash isn't accepted. Although all guest rooms are non-smoking, a smoking booth is available on the first floor.

Dining

Sachi Fukuya Cafe on the first floor serves a paid Japanese breakfast buffet from 6:30 to 10:00, with final entry at 9:30. Breakfast costs 1,600 yen and provides an easy start before an early sightseeing day, while central Sannomiya has much broader choices for other meals.

Location and transport

The hotel is located in Kobe-Sannomiya, on the east side of the main station cluster. The East Exit of Sannomiya Station on the JR Kobe Line is about three minutes away. Hankyu and Hanshin's respective east-side exits are about four minutes away, adding several rail options toward Osaka and western Hyogo.

For the Sanyo Shinkansen, the subway reaches Shin-Kobe in one stop. The JR, Hankyu, Hanshin, subway, and Port Liner stations are grouped closely together but have separate gates. Check the operator and exit before arriving, especially if you're carrying luggage.

Airport access

The Port Liner runs directly from Kobe Airport to Sannomiya in about 18 minutes. From the Port Liner station, continue on foot through the east side of the district to reach the hotel.

There is no hotel-door airport shuttle. The rail journey is simple, but unfamiliarity with the Sannomiya station cluster can add time between the Port Liner and the hotel.

Why stay here

The short walk from JR Sannomiya simplifies Kobe sightseeing, Osaka day trips, Shin-Kobe transfers, and journeys to or from Kobe Airport. Rooms remain compact and budget-oriented, but the larger twins and connecting layout give small groups more workable choices.

Kobe-Sannomiya is also the center of the city's shopping and dining. Ikuta Shrine is nearby, while heading west brings Motomachi, Chinatown, and the Former Foreign Settlement into a day out without requiring a change of hotels.

Good to know

The hotel is close to several Sannomiya operators but isn't directly connected to any station. The three-minute walk applies specifically to JR's East Exit; Hankyu and Hanshin have separate four-minute approaches, while subway and Port Liner arrivals use different routes. There is no hotel parking, and accommodation payments are cashless.
