Overview
JR and Hankyu passengers can reach remm plus Kobe Sannomiya without going down to street level. The hotel connects directly to the West Exit of JR Sannomiya Station and the east ticket gate of Hankyu Kobe-Sannomiya, with Kobe's main rail and shopping district immediately outside.
The rooms prioritize sleep. Remm mattresses, rain showers, and massage chairs shape the compact stay, while breakfast on the 29th floor adds a broad city view to an otherwise streamlined hotel.
Rooms
Double rooms measure 18 square meters and have a 160-centimeter-wide bed. Twin and Corner Twin rooms are 26 square meters, each with two 110-centimeter beds. The Universal Access Double uses the same 26-square-meter layout with one 160-centimeter bed.
A Double may be sufficient for solo travelers and light packers, but the larger Twin layouts give two people more room for suitcases. High-floor versions of the Double, Twin, and Corner Twin are also available.
Facilities
Shared facilities are straightforward. A microwave, ice maker, vending machines, and smoking booth are on the 17th floor. Paid body care, laundry, parcel delivery, and luggage storage are also available.
Dining
Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:30 at Cafe Restaurant Kobe Nozomiyama on the 29th floor of EKIZO Kobe Sannomiya. The broad city view is the highlight, giving the morning meal a stronger sense of place than the hotel's compact public areas.
Location and transport
The direct indoor routes are most convenient for JR and Hankyu passengers. JR trains run east toward Osaka and west toward Himeji, while Hankyu provides another route toward Osaka-Umeda and stops along the Kobe Line. Hanshin, subway, and Port Liner stations are part of the same Sannomiya cluster, but their separate gates require a short walk.
For Sanyo Shinkansen services, Shin-Kobe is one subway stop north. From Shin-Kobe, take the subway to Sannomiya, then continue through the Hankyu passage to the hotel's second-floor entrance.
Airport access
Kobe Airport has the simplest connection. The Port Liner takes about 18 minutes to Sannomiya, followed by a walk of roughly five minutes through the station area.
Limousine buses take about 70 minutes from Kansai International Airport and 40 minutes from Osaka Itami Airport, followed by a walk of roughly six minutes. Both are station-area services rather than hotel-door transfers.
Why stay here
Arriving by JR or Hankyu keeps the final part of the journey short, especially with luggage. Osaka and Himeji day trips are also straightforward, while Shin-Kobe is one subway stop north and the Port Liner runs directly to Kobe Airport. The tradeoff is the compact 18-square-meter Double and a short walk from the other Sannomiya operators.
Around Kobe-Sannomiya, Ikuta Shrine and Kobe Sannomiya Center Gai Shopping Street are within easy walking distance. Continue west through Motomachi for Nankinmachi and the Former Foreign Settlement, or head uphill toward Kitano's historic Western-style houses.
Good to know
Sannomiya isn't a single station. JR, Hankyu, Hanshin, subway, and Port Liner services have separate gates and signs. When returning to the hotel, follow signs for the JR West Exit or Hankyu east ticket gate; directions to the other operators can lead to a different part of the station complex.
