Overview
A four-minute walk from Hakata Station puts Nishitetsu Hotel Croom Hakata close to Shinkansen, JR, subway, airport, and regional bus connections. Across the road from Hakata Bus Terminal, it also has something less common among station hotels: a guest-only natural hot spring with indoor and semi-open-air baths and saunas.
The Fukuoka-Hakata setting keeps much of a short stay within the station district. JR Hakata City and KITTE Hakata are nearby, so meals and shopping don't require a separate trip across the city.

Seven room types cover a compact range. Single, semi-double, comfort single, comfort business, and double rooms measure 14.6 square meters, while comfort twin and universal twin rooms measure 20.7 square meters. Most are intended for one or two guests rather than families or larger groups.
Bathroom layouts vary in ways that affect everyday comfort. Standard single and semi-double rooms have unit bathrooms. Most comfort categories and the double separate the shower, toilet, and washbasin, while the universal twin has an accessible bathroom with a bathtub.
Facilities
The natural hot spring changes the feel of the stay. The men's and women's areas each have indoor and semi-open-air baths, a far-infrared sauna, a cold bath, and outdoor seating. Opening hours are 3:00 pm to 1:00 am and 6:00 to 9:30 am, allowing time for a soak after a late arrival or before an early train.
Downstairs, lounge seating and work space share the lobby with books and crafts from Fukuoka and Kyushu. A free self-service luggage area is available before check-in and after check-out, which helps when train times don't line up with the room schedule.
Dining
Breakfast comes in two distinct formats. Hakata Tobi-uo on the second floor serves a Japanese and Western buffet from 6:30 to 10:00, with last orders at 9:30. The selection includes sashimi, small dishes, motsunabe, and breads.
For a lighter start, Komeda's Coffee on the first floor serves morning sets from 6:30 to 11:00. Guests can choose toast with a boiled egg, egg spread, or sweet red-bean paste, accompanied by a drink and soup.
Location and transport
Hakata Station's Hakata Exit provides the clearest street-level approach, with a walk of about four minutes. West Exit 4 from the subway is another straightforward landmark. Hakata Bus Terminal is across the road, about one minute away on foot.
JR Hakata City, KITTE Hakata, station restaurants, and shopping are all close by. This makes it easy to manage meals, errands, and onward travel without straying far from Hakata Station.
Airport access
From Fukuoka Airport's domestic terminal, the Airport Line reaches Hakata Station in two stops and about five minutes. The walk from the Hakata Exit takes another four minutes, while the hotel's overall route estimate is about 18 minutes once transfer and walking time are included.
Fukuoka Airport Station connects directly to the domestic terminal. International-terminal passengers need to take the free inter-terminal shuttle before or after the subway journey, or compare the direct bus to Hakata Station.
Why stay here
Hot-spring baths and saunas offer a welcome contrast to the busy transport district outside. With Hakata Station and the bus terminal close at hand, the location supports early departures, airport connections, regional bus journeys, and rail-heavy Kyushu itineraries, particularly for solo travelers and couples.
There's also sightseeing beyond the station district. Hakata Old Town and Kushida Shrine are nearby, while Canal City Hakata, Nakasu, and Tenjin can be reached by subway, bus, or a longer walk.
Good to know
The baths are reserved for overnight guests, and towels must be brought down from the room. Check-in begins at 3:00 pm, and standard check-out is at 11:00 am.
The hotel's 68-space car park operates on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. If it's full, staff direct guests to a nearby partner car park.
