Overview
Just across the station square from Hakata Station, JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Chuo is about two minutes from the Hakata Exit. JR Hakata City, Hakata Bus Terminal, and the Airport Line are all close, which simplifies arrivals, departures, and trips around Kyushu from Fukuoka-Hakata.
The 247-room hotel has a modern Japanese look shaped by natural materials, red accents, and regional craft references. Bamboo flooring begins at each guest room entrance, while the lobby features Hakata-ori motifs and artwork from across Kyushu.
Rooms
Every room measures at least 19 square meters. Standard Doubles are 19 to 20 square meters, while 25-square-meter Superior Twins provide more space for opening luggage. Simmons beds and Imabari towels are standard throughout the room lineup.
Several categories accommodate a third guest. The 23-square-meter Superior Double uses a sofa bed, and the 29-square-meter Deluxe Twin has a pull-out trundle bed. Premium Twins are also 29 square meters, adding high-floor views and bathrooms with separate washing areas.
For accessible needs, the 25-square-meter Universal Double has wider aisles and no step between the bedroom and bathroom.
Facilities
Guest facilities are spread across several floors. Coin laundries operate around the clock on the fifth, eleventh, and twelfth floors, while vending and ice machines are on the fifth and twelfth. A fifth-floor microwave is handy during a longer stay or when you want a quick meal.
Wi-Fi is available in guest rooms and the lobby, and wired internet is also supported. A smoking booth on the first floor keeps smoking separate from the non-smoking rooms.
Dining
Feast Dining Nanatsu-no-Hana serves a breakfast buffet covering Japanese, Western, and regional Kyushu dishes. Service begins at 6:30 AM, early enough for many sightseeing plans and later rail departures.
The restaurant also offers a lunch buffet. In the evening, it becomes an à la carte restaurant and bar serving Kyushu ingredients and drinks, giving guests a full meal option without leaving the building. Dinner is unavailable on Sundays and public holidays.
Location and transport
From Hakata Station's Hakata Exit, cross the station square and continue along Hakata Ekimae-dori. The entrance is on the right beside Fukuoka Center Building. If you're arriving by subway with luggage, West Exit 19 has an elevator and is about one minute away. Adjacent West Exit 18 is stairs-only and has limited opening hours.
Hakata Station brings together Shinkansen services, JR regional trains, the Fukuoka City Subway, and local and highway buses. The Hakata Exit side is especially convenient for Hakata Bus Terminal, while the Airport Line provides a direct subway route to Tenjin and Fukuoka Airport.
Airport access
From Fukuoka Airport's Domestic Terminal, the Airport Line reaches Hakata Station in about five minutes and two stops. From there, use West Exit 19 for the elevator or follow the Hakata Exit route across the station square.
International Terminal arrivals can take a Nishitetsu bus to Hakata Station in about 20 minutes. Alternatively, the free inter-terminal shuttle reaches the Domestic Terminal in about 15 minutes, where passengers can transfer to the subway. Neither option ends at the hotel door.
Why stay here
A luggage-heavy arrival, early train, or JR day trip is easier with the Hakata Exit only two minutes away. Every room is at least 19 square meters, and the restaurant adds flexibility when you don't want to go out again for a meal.
JR Hakata City adds shopping, restaurants, a cinema, and a rooftop garden within the station complex. Farther west, the temple and shrine streets of Hakata Old Town bring a historical dimension to a stay otherwise centered on transport and city convenience.
Good to know
There are two Blossom hotels around Hakata Station. This is Blossom Hakata Chuo on the Hakata Exit side; Blossom Fukuoka is on the Chikushi Exit side. Check the full name and exit before setting out with luggage.
The hotel has no parking on its premises. Affiliated parking is about one minute away, but spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can't be reserved.
2-minute walk
