About three minutes on foot from Aomori Station, HOTEL MYSTAYS Aomori Station occupies a central spot on Shinmachi-dori. Airport-bus arrivals and conventional rail trips require little extra travel, while the nearby waterfront leaves room for sightseeing before check-in or after dropping off luggage.
This is a compact city stay rather than a full-service leisure hotel. The short station walk, simple dining in the building, and proximity to Aomori's bayfront museums and shops are its clearest advantages.

Two washing machines and two dryers are available around the clock on the fourth floor, a welcome convenience during a multi-night stay or a longer journey around northern Japan.
An ice machine and foreign-currency exchange machine cover other everyday needs. In the third-floor lobby, Nebuta artwork and seasonal floral trick art add a small local touch to an otherwise straightforward hotel.

Breakfast is served as a Japanese-Western buffet. On the first floor, Doutor Coffee provides coffee and light cafe food, while Ootoya specializes in Japanese set meals. Between them, guests can manage breakfast, a quick drink, or a casual meal without arranging a separate restaurant stop.
Location and transport
Aomori Station serves conventional JR trains and the Aoimori Railway. Local trains connect central Aomori with Shin-Aomori Station, where the Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen stop, while regional services continue toward destinations such as Hirosaki and Asamushi Onsen.
The local trip from Shin-Aomori to Aomori Station takes about six minutes, followed by the walk to the hotel. That extra connection matters when a Shinkansen schedule is tight, but staying in central Aomori is more convenient for the airport bus, Shinmachi-dori, and the waterfront.
Airport access
Buses run between Aomori Airport and Aomori Station Front in about 35 minutes. From the stop, the hotel is roughly three minutes away on foot, so there's no need for another train or taxi.
Luggage space on the bus can fill up. Travelers carrying skis, snowboards, or a folding bicycle may need to make arrangements in advance and could be directed to a later departure if the storage compartment is full.
Why stay here
The nearby airport bus and conventional trains simplify arrival days, final nights, and short city visits, while breakfast and casual dining are available in the same building. In return, Shinkansen passengers need an additional local train ride from Shin-Aomori, and the smallest rooms have compact dimensions.
Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse brings festival floats, history, and music to the waterfront throughout the year. Nearby A-FACTORY sells regional food and drink and produces cider from Aomori apples, creating an easy pair of local stops even during a brief stay.
Good to know
