Overview
Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka is a full-service hotel in Osaka-Namba, connected to the Namba station area and adjacent to OCAT. It works well for travelers who want Minami nightlife, Dotonbori walks, airport-bus convenience, and a more service-heavy hotel than the smaller business hotels around Namba.
Rooms
Guest rooms are on floors 24 through 31 and follow the hotel's British manor-house theme. The hotel has 348 non-smoking rooms, with standard single, double, twin, deluxe twin, corner twin, and junior suite categories. Rooms include free Wi-Fi, bath amenities, pajamas, and floor-access security using the room key.
Facilities
The front desk is on the 22nd floor. Facilities include parking, banquet and meeting rooms, an English-style chapel, and direct access to building tenants such as a supermarket, convenience store, home center, and bookstore. Parking is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dining
Dining is concentrated on the 22nd floor. The restaurant lineup includes French Restaurant ESCALE, Teppanyaki KOBE, and Japanese Restaurant ZUIENTEI. Breakfast is offered as a buffet.
Location and transport
The hotel is about one minute on foot from JR Namba Station and the west exit of Osaka Namba Station, with a connecting passage from the Yotsubashi Line side of Namba Station. The Midosuji Line exits are about five minutes away, and Nankai Namba is about ten minutes on foot.
Airport access
OCAT is next to the hotel, making airport limousine buses useful for Itami Airport and Kansai International Airport when schedules fit. Kansai airport trips can also use Nankai trains to Namba or JR airport services to JR Namba, depending on timing and luggage.
Why stay here
Choose Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka when the trip needs Namba and Dotonbori access, OCAT airport-bus convenience, and a larger hotel with restaurants and event facilities. It is a strong fit for Minami sightseeing and rail access, but travelers focused on Umeda, Shin-Osaka, or immediate Nankai airport trains may prefer a different Osaka base.
Good to know
Namba is a multi-station area, so the closest route depends on the line. JR Namba and OCAT are closest, the Yotsubashi and Sennichimae subway sides are very close, and the Midosuji and Nankai sides require a longer walk through the station area.
