Overview
Hilton Osaka is located opposite the JR station at Osaka Station / Umeda, with underground passages connecting the hotel to nearby shopping malls and subway stations. Restaurants and a heated indoor pool give you places to eat and relax after a day out.
Rooms
Standard king and twin rooms measure 30 square meters, with wood furnishings, Japanese sliding screens, and city views. King rooms accommodate two guests, while twins can take up to three. Connecting rooms are available for families who want adjoining bedrooms.
Executive king rooms are also 30 square meters but occupy higher floors and include access to the third-floor Executive Lounge. Breakfast is served there, so the upgrade changes the lounge and dining experience rather than the amount of bedroom space.
Facilities
The seventh-floor fitness center includes a 15-meter heated indoor pool, sauna, and gym, all free for overnight guests. The gym is open 24 hours. The pool and sauna have shorter opening hours.
Guests under 16 can't use the gym or sauna. Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied at the pool by an adult aged 18 or over.
Dining
Folk Kitchen serves a breakfast buffet on the second floor, followed by international buffets later in the day. Check whether breakfast is included in your rate.
For something lighter, MYPLACE Cafe & Bar serves coffee, sandwiches, and salads, followed by cocktails and evening snacks. Japanese dining, teppanyaki, and a grill restaurant provide further dinner choices without leaving the hotel.
Location and transport
JR Osaka Station is about two minutes away on foot, with trains toward Kyoto and Kobe. Nishi-Umeda Station is even closer: Exit 6 is about a one-minute walk away, and the Yotsubashi Line runs directly to Namba. Trains on the Midosuji Line use the separate Umeda Station, about five minutes from the hotel.
For the Shinkansen, take a conventional JR train from Osaka to Shin-Osaka Station. The train ride takes about five minutes, but allow additional time to reach the platforms and make the transfer.
Airport access
Direct limousine buses to Kansai and Itami airports depart from nearby Herbis Osaka. You'll need to walk to the Herbis stop before boarding. Check the departure time and boarding point for your airport. The Haruka limited express also connects Osaka Station directly with Kansai Airport for travelers who prefer rail.
Why stay here
With JR Osaka close by, you can stay at one hotel while making day trips to Kyoto or Kobe. The subway also connects you to Namba, so you don't need to plan every day around Umeda.
For time in Osaka-Umeda, the nearby HERBIS PLAZA and PLAZA ENT buildings have shops and restaurants. You can spend an afternoon browsing, then have dinner nearby without taking a train.
Good to know
Osaka and Umeda are names used by several neighboring stations, not one shared set of platforms. Follow signs for the correct railway and line rather than assuming the nearest entrance serves every train.
