Overview

One minute on foot from Mishima Station's South Exit, Fujisan Mishima Tokyu Hotel occupies the upper floors of the Mitowa Mishima complex. Arrival is simple. The Tokaido Shinkansen, conventional JR trains, and the Sunzu Line are close at hand for quick transfers and early departures.

Views shape the experience. Many rooms face Mount Fuji or the Hakone foothills, while the top-floor bath looks toward Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay, and the surrounding landscape when the weather cooperates.

Rooms

Rooms range from 20.4-square-meter doubles to 64.2-square-meter family and junior-suite layouts. Superior twins provide 26.5 square meters, while larger corner rooms begin at around 38 square meters. Windows more than two meters high bring the landscape into much of the room.

Size isn't the only consideration. Japanese-Western rooms have raised tatami areas, and the largest family room accommodates up to six guests. Fuji Deluxe Twin and Fuji Junior Suite rooms are on the 12th floor. Standard doubles face the city rather than Mount Fuji, so check the category instead of assuming every room has the same outlook.

Facilities

Fuji no Yu is reserved for hotel guests on the 14th floor, about 60 meters above ground. It has indoor and open-air baths, with one session in the afternoon and evening and another in the early morning. Lava stone and local stone reference the geology and waterways around Mishima.

The same floor has a fitness room, coin laundry, and vending machines. Rental e-bikes and road bikes are available through the second-floor reception for same-day return, offering another way to explore nearby streets. Check the road conditions and rental terms before setting out.

Dining

Robata Grill L'EAU occupies the 13th floor and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen combines Japanese and French techniques with a lava-stone grill, and the dining room has its own Mount Fuji outlook. Private rooms are available.

Breakfast is a buffet of Japanese and Western dishes. Dried fish is grilled to order, while Mishima croquettes, wasabi rice bowls, local rice, whitebait, and other regional items give the meal a stronger local identity than a standard hotel spread. Menus and prices can change.

Location and transport

The hotel is one minute from Mishima Station's South Exit along an outdoor route. Tokaido Shinkansen Hikari and Kodama services connect Mishima with Tokyo and points west, but Nozomi trains don't stop here. The Sunzu Line continues to Izu-Nagaoka and Shuzenji.

The wider Mishima Station Area begins outside the hotel. Rakujuen is about three minutes from the station, and a longer spring-water walk follows the Genbe River and central streets toward Mishima Taisha. Mishima Skywalk and Hakone require a bus, taxi, or car.

Airport access

From Narita Airport, the stated route uses the Narita Express to Tokyo Station, followed by a Hikari train to Mishima. From Mount Fuji Shizuoka Airport, take the airport bus to Shizuoka Station and transfer to the Tokaido Shinkansen.

Neither journey is direct to the hotel. Check the airport connection and Hikari stopping pattern together, especially if the trip ends with a late arrival.

Why stay here

The one-minute walk from Mishima Station eases luggage-heavy arrivals and early departures, while the panoramic bath provides somewhere to slow down afterward. Larger tatami layouts also give families more flexibility than the compact doubles might suggest.

Mishima itself deserves time. Rakujuen and the city's spring-fed waterways begin near the South Exit, so a Shinkansen stop can include a genuine local walk rather than only an overnight beside the tracks.

Good to know

Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and checkout is by 11:00 AM, subject to the booked plan. All guest rooms are non-smoking, with a smoking room on the 13th floor. Luggage can be held before check-in or after checkout.

The hotel has no private parking lot. A small paid affiliated lot is available on a first-come basis without reservations, and other paid lots are nearby. Mount Fuji views depend on the weather, and requests for a specific room view aren't accepted.
