Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kobe Sannomiya

Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Southeast of Kobe's main rail cluster, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kobe Sannomiya is about five minutes on foot from the nearest Sannomiya entrance. Rooms start at 18 square meters, while the trains, shops, and restaurants of Kobe-Sannomiya are within walking distance.

The location provides city-center transport with some separation from the busiest station blocks. Hanshin Kobe-Sannomiya is about five minutes away, JR Sannomiya about seven, and Hankyu Kobe-Sannomiya about eight. The final approach is outdoors.

Rooms

All 221 rooms measure at least 18 square meters. Standard and Superior Doubles are 18 square meters, the women-only Double is 21 square meters, and the Universal and Hollywood Twin rooms are 27 square meters.

Every room has a wide desk, so there's a proper surface for work equipment or planning the next day's travel. The 27-square-meter twin layouts provide more floor space for two guests, while the Universal Twin must be booked by telephone.

Facilities

A 24-hour convenience store on the ground floor is handy for late arrivals and quick purchases. Coin laundry is available around the clock, and two guest floors have microwaves and ice machines.

The mechanical parking garage has 32 spaces and operates on a first-come basis. Vehicle dimensions matter. Guests whose cars don't fit, or who arrive after the garage fills, must use nearby paid parking.

Dining

SACHIMARU on the ground floor serves a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet from 6:30 to 10:00. The early start helps before a train, flight, or full day of sightseeing.

For later meals, the wider Sannomiya district has far more choice than the hotel. Center Gai and the station blocks are filled with restaurants, with further options along the streets toward Motomachi to the west.

Location and transport

The shortest published walk is about five minutes from Hanshin Kobe-Sannomiya. JR Sannomiya is about seven minutes away, while Hankyu Kobe-Sannomiya takes about eight. These entrances form part of the wider Sannomiya Station cluster, although each operator has separate gates and platforms.

Shin-Kobe is one subway stop north of Sannomiya for Sanyo Shinkansen connections. This isn't a station-connected stay, but several rail companies and the Port Liner remain close enough for city travel, day trips, and airport journeys.

Airport access

From Kobe Airport, the Port Liner reaches Sannomiya in about 30 minutes, followed by the walk to the hotel. It's the simplest airport route because the train runs directly into the same city-center transport cluster used throughout the stay.

Limousine buses from Osaka Itami Airport and Kansai International Airport also arrive in the Sannomiya area. Approximate journey times are 40 minutes from Itami and 65 minutes from Kansai, followed by a walk of about five minutes. Check current bus schedules before matching either service to a flight.

Why stay here

Rooms of at least 18 square meters, full-width desks, laundry facilities, and the downstairs convenience store support short business trips and train-centered stays in Kobe. The tradeoff is an outdoor walk of five to eight minutes rather than a direct station connection.

Sannomiya's shopping and dining remain close, while the Former Foreign Settlement, Motomachi, and Chinatown extend a day naturally westward. Local trains to Osaka and Himeji, the subway to Shin-Kobe, and the Port Liner to Kobe Airport are also within easy reach.
