Overview
Dotonbori begins about one minute from Cross Hotel Osaka, bringing its canal, Glico sign, and busy restaurant streets almost to the door. The hotel is on Midosuji in Osaka-Namba, where Namba and Shinsaibashi merge into a walkable shopping and entertainment district.
Two subway approaches keep city travel flexible. Osaka Metro and Kintetsu services at Namba Station are three minutes away via Exit 14, while Shinsaibashi Station is five minutes away via Exit 4-B. Dotonbori is almost outside.
Rooms
The 229 rooms span standard and Cross Floor categories, including doubles, twins, triples, and suites. Standard doubles start at 24 square meters, many twin and triple rooms measure 27 square meters, and the larger options include a 48-square-meter junior suite and a 103-square-meter suite.
Some categories face Midosuji or the Dotonbori side of Minami. Dotonbori View Twins make the outlook part of the room choice, while the Cross Floors on levels 13 and 14 add upgraded fittings and lounge access with selected plans. Every room has a separate bathing area and toilet, a welcome comfort after a long day on foot.
Facilities
Guests with an eligible plan can use the meetlounge from afternoon until late evening. Sofa and table seating, Wi-Fi, power outlets, light food, and drinks make it a convenient pause between daytime sightseeing and an evening in Minami. Access is plan-specific and isn't included with every room.
The hotel doesn't operate its own car park. Public transport is the simpler way to arrive, while drivers need to use a nearby commercial lot.
Dining
TERRACE & DINING ZERO serves a breakfast buffet from 7:00 to 10:30, with final entry at 10:00. Japanese and Western breakfast dishes are joined by Osaka specialties such as kushikatsu, doteyaki, and mixed juice, plus live-kitchen items.
Breakfast can be added to a stay or purchased separately, depending on the current plan and price. Later meals are easy to keep flexible, as Dotonbori and the streets between Namba and Shinsaibashi offer a wide range of restaurants within a short walk.
Location and transport
The three-minute approach from Osaka Metro Namba Station Exit 14 is the shortest published route. This side of the wider Namba complex is convenient for the Midosuji Line and Kintetsu and Hanshin services. Nankai Namba is about 10 minutes away, while JR Namba is about 15 minutes away, so the shared station name doesn't mean every platform is equally close.
Shinsaibashi Station provides another Midosuji Line entrance five minutes to the north, along with the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line. That option is handy when the day begins around Shinsaibashi-suji, Amerikamura, or the northern side of Minami.
Airport access
Direct Nankai trains connect Kansai International Airport with Nankai Namba. The airport publishes journey times of roughly 34 to 43 minutes, depending on the train, followed by the hotel's 10-minute walk from the Nankai station.
From Osaka Itami Airport, limousine buses reach Namba in about 30 minutes before the final walk through the station area. Both routes end in Namba rather than at the hotel door, so check the arrival stop and station exit before setting out with luggage.
Why stay here
A late dinner or evening in Dotonbori doesn't require a train ride back to the room. Meanwhile, the short walk to two Midosuji Line stations keeps Umeda, Shin-Osaka, and Tennoji within easy reach for daytime plans.
The surrounding streets are central to the appeal. Dotonbori's signs, restaurants, theater history, and riverwalk lie to the south, while Shinsaibashi-suji continues north through one of Osaka's best-known shopping corridors. The hotel belongs to both sides of Minami without depending on a single station entrance.
Good to know
Namba is a group of stations rather than one compact rail hall. Exit 14 of Osaka Metro Namba provides the quickest approach, while Nankai and JR arrivals involve longer walks. The hotel has no private parking, and meetlounge access depends on the room plan.
