Overview

Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda is located in Grand Green Osaka in Osaka-Umeda, close to Osaka Station / Umeda and the Umekita park-side redevelopment area. It works well for travelers who want a newer lifestyle-hotel base near northern Osaka's rail, shopping, dining, office, and regional day-trip network without staying inside the station building itself.

Rooms

The hotel has 308 rooms and suites across 13 hotel floors. The room mix includes 52 suites, including the 127-square-meter Canopy Panorama View Suite, plus 19 connecting rooms. Room choices include guest rooms, suites, and accessible rooms, with city-view layouts among the options.

Facilities

Facilities include a fitness center, concierge service, room service, meeting rooms, digital key, connecting-room options, and on-site self-parking. The hotel also offers complimentary Canopy bicycle rentals for local exploration. Pet-friendly rooms are available only through the pet-friendly package, with a small-pet weight limit of 15 kg.

Dining

Dining is built around three venues. Bean there, UMEDA is the ground-floor cafe for coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and park-adjacent casual use. CC:CARBON COPY is the all-day dining restaurant, and !JaJa!Bar adds a rooftop bar and outdoor terrace with small bites, drinks, and games.

Location and transport

The hotel is in Grand Green Osaka North Tower, north of Osaka Station in the Umekita side of Umeda. It is about seven minutes on foot from JR Osaka Station, with a connecting-passage route through Grand Front Osaka and a ground-level route via Umekita Plaza. The station area connects JR lines, Hankyu, Hanshin, and Osaka Metro services, making it useful for Umeda shopping and dining, central Osaka subway trips, and rail connections toward Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Wakayama, and the Shinkansen connection north of Umeda.

Airport access

Osaka Itami International Airport is about 15 kilometers away, and Kansai International Airport is about 51 kilometers away. The hotel does not operate an airport shuttle; Kansai International Airport is about one hour away by train, so airport access should be planned through the Osaka Station / Umeda rail and bus network rather than through a hotel shuttle.

Why stay here

Choose Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda when you want a modern Umeda hotel with restaurant and bar options on site, access to Grand Green Osaka and Grand Front Osaka, and a practical Osaka Station base for shopping, meetings, Kansai rail trips, and airport transfers. It is a stronger fit for travelers who like the newer Umekita side of Umeda than for visitors who want Dotonbori nightlife at the doorstep.

Good to know

The hotel is close to Osaka Station but is not directly inside the station. With luggage, check the access route in advance and choose between the connecting-passage route and the ground-level route before arrival. Shinkansen travelers should use the high-speed rail stop north of Umeda, then continue by local JR or subway into Osaka Station or Umeda.
