Overview
Cross the pedestrian bridge from Shin-Kobe Station and you're directly inside ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe. The connection brings the Sanyo Shinkansen and municipal subway close to the lobby, while guest rooms occupy the upper half of a 37-floor building in Kobe-Kitano / Shin-Kobe.
This location favors easy rail arrivals and hillside sightseeing over a doorstep downtown scene. Sannomiya is only one subway stop away, but its shopping streets, restaurants, and local railway companies aren't immediately outside the hotel.
Rooms
All 592 rooms are on floors 14 through 37, and many categories have views across Kobe or toward Mount Rokko. Standard rooms range from 15 to 25 square meters, Premium rooms from 31 to 44 square meters, and one-bedroom suites from 35 to 126 square meters. Japanese-style and two-bedroom suites add options for longer stays and groups.
Room category matters. The smallest singles are compact, while larger twins, Premium rooms, and suites provide considerably more space. Club rooms include access to the 37th-floor lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails, and business support.
Facilities
Facilities cover both leisure and work. The fitness center is the simplest exercise option, while the indoor pool costs extra and the spa has treatments and a sauna. Parking, laundry support, and a convenience store cover everyday needs.
With 23 banquet and meeting rooms, the hotel can accommodate conferences and large events as well as individual stays. If you're planning to use the pool, check its opening days and age rules because these differ from ordinary fitness-center access.
Dining
Seven restaurants provide more dining depth than a typical station-side stay. Breakfast centers on the THE 10 Signature buffet, while later meals range from high-floor Italian and Chinese restaurants to teppanyaki, Japanese dining, and a casual buffet venue. Room service is also available.
The upper-floor restaurants take advantage of the building's height, so a meal can become part of the city-view experience rather than merely a solution for an early train day. That range is especially welcome when bad weather or a late arrival makes a subway trip to Sannomiya less appealing.
Location and transport
The covered pedestrian connection is the defining advantage. Shin-Kobe Station serves the Sanyo Shinkansen and Kobe Municipal Subway, and southbound subway trains reach Sannomiya Station at the next stop.
For JR local trains, Hankyu, Hanshin, or the Port Liner, make the short transfer at Sannomiya. This creates a clear contrast with a downtown stay: long-distance trains are outside the door, while the broadest local transport network and evening activity require one short ride.
Airport access
A scheduled limousine bus currently runs directly between the hotel and Kansai International Airport. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so check the current timetable before matching the service to your flight.
Travel from Kobe Airport involves taking the Port Liner to Sannomiya, followed by one subway stop to Shin-Kobe. Buses from Osaka Itami Airport also use Sannomiya, with the same final subway connection. Both routes are straightforward, but only the Kansai service reaches the hotel without a transfer.
Why stay here
Stepping off a bullet train and crossing directly into the hotel takes much of the effort out of early departures, short rail stays, and luggage-heavy arrivals. The tradeoff is just as clear: Sannomiya's restaurants and multiple local railways are one subway stop away rather than at the entrance.
The hillside reveals a different side of Kobe. Kitano's preserved foreign residences are within walking distance, while Nunobiki Falls and the ropeway to Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens begin near the station. You can spend the morning above the city, then take the subway downtown for shopping or an evening by the harbor.
Good to know
The direct connection is to Shin-Kobe Station, not Sannomiya. Pool admission costs extra, and the direct Kansai Airport bus follows a limited schedule that should be reconfirmed before travel.
